Find larger targets at twice the depth of conventional coils.
Use the EagleEye front coil for accurate pinpointing and small object detection.
Easily switch from depth multiplier searching to pinpoint mode with the touch of
a button.
Eliminates the need to switch coils or have a second detector to zero in on a
target.
The GTI 2500 /Software version 7/ will do the majority of the work while
you spend your time recovering old coins, rings, jewelry and other treasures.
This detector incorporates more than a quarter century's worth of innovative
metal detection technology. Backed by a powerful, on-board DSP chip, the GTI
2500's unique benefits can't be beat. From the graphic identification of
targets, to unsurpassed depth capabilities and hunting versatility, the GTI 2500
does it all.
"Imaging" is the detectors ability to measure the size of buried metal objects
and report that information to the user - and it is totally new to the treasure
hunting community!

How can target imaging help you?
By combining imaging with Garrett's DSP Circuitry, Power Master and GTA
Discrimination, Garrett has built a treasure hunting machine that is light-years
ahead of other detectors. Simply stated: Treasure hunters can search much deeper
and more accurately, greatly increasing their share of found treasure with less
time spent searching.
If you've been hunting with a metal detector that simply beeps when you've found
a metal target of some type at some depth then you're in for a real treat. Both
the GTI 2500 and the GTI 1500 bring graphic imaging to the hunt! It not only
signals that you've hit a metal target; it tells you the size of that target,
the depth of that target, and what that target probably is!
Imaging is another in a long line of Garrett firsts, and it's accuracy is second
to none. The GTI series gives you both the size and depth of the targets you've
located. The "Treasure Vision Screen" even tells you what you've located: a
coin, a pull tab, a drink can, or something larger. That way, you decide whether
or not you should dig it up!
If your find is a coin the GTI detectors will tell you what kind of coin it is:
a penny, a nickel, a dime, a quarter, a half dollar, or a dollar. The GTI 2500
lets you sift out the trash and concentrate on the treasure, making the hunt far
more productive than with any other detector manufactured! This is possible
thanks to the secret ingredient in the GTI series exclusive Digital Signal
Processing (DSP) chip.
This little bit of wizardly gives the detector the extra intelligence it needs
to send back true image information instantly. With the GTI 2500, you can even
come out a winner on "hunted-out" pieces of ground. Go back over it with the GTI
2500 and you'll be amazed at how much more treasure you can find and how much
more trash you will leave for others to find.
The GTI 2500 panel display is shown to the left. On the Image Scale "B" targets
are coin sized. "A" size targets are smaller and "C", "D" and "E" size targets
are progressively larger.
It also features Garrett's exclusive Treasure Talk technique, which announces
target information, tells you what you've found as well as how deep it is, and
talks you thorugh different detector settings. This makes your experience
several times easier and a lot more fun!
If you take treasure hunting seriously, you need the DSP technology that's
incorporated into the GTI 2500, GTI 1500 and the new GTP 1350. DPS Technology
will boost your detection depth up to 20%, adapt to your hunting speed for
optimum performance, as well as provide you continuous ground tracking. The
Frequency Domain Analysis (FDA) will give you an advanced signal of all targets.
Regardless of how they attempt to illustrate and sell it, with a 28 frequency
detector you get 28 weak frequencies. With a single frequency detector like the
GTI 2500, however, you get one powerful frequency that's engineered to search
deeper and find more treasure in the most common soils. Buying a metal detector
based solely on the number of frequencies it produces will cause you to miss
treasure virtually every time you hunt!
First day out with his new Garrett GTI 2500, Bill Welch, searching an old house
foundation in Arkansas, recovered a cache of US coins including large cents,
dimes and nickels dated 1845 thru 1875. The coins were in a well-preserved,
metal cigar box. Bill said, "the GTI 2500 is a very smooth operating detector.
It is stable and quite easy to use even for a beginner. I had some younger
friends accompany me one day and one of the woman was able to operate the GTI
with ease. We hit a few parks and found quite a few coins, silver and deep ones
among them. The GTI is an excellent detector for both the beginner and the
experienced hunter."
